Sarau Nossa Casa closes the year’s activities at Casa de Cultura Rogério Sganzerla

Casa de Cultura Rogério Sganzerla opened its doors to show what its artists produce in a very inviting exhibition, in the outdoor space of the house, at an event it called Sarau Nossa Casa (Our House Soirée).  On that day, staff members Darlene Vargas and Fátima Proner talked about the production that happens daily in that place. They stressed that the Casa is always open for new proposals to be presented.

That is what happened in the second half of 2022, with the Video Poem Workshop, taught on Mondays by filmmaker Rudolfo Auffinger. Two of the productions were screened at the Sarau.

Also on Mondays, the Art Production workshop took place. Creation is free and also guided by teacher Darlene Vargas. Several works could be appreciated that night.

In addition, a partnership with photographers Arnaldo Teles and Ladimara Teixeira made it possible to develop a Photography workshop – which brought many people interested in the art to the house. The photos were shown on a big screen and workshop students photographed the event.

The night was also enlivened by musical numbers  by Greici Sonntag and João Victor Paulino Pimentel da Rosa.

Jaqueline Silveira and Carlos Eduardo Carvalho, who were presenting their photo book on the pilgrimage of Nossa Senhora, in Campos Novos, did not hesitate to also lend their musical talent to the artistic evening.

Finally, the Municipal Secretary of Culture, Paulo Krause, who attended the event, expressed satisfaction with the event and with the unity of the artistic community. He said he would spare no effort for this movement to expand next year. He made himself available for dialogue and new ideas.

Guest Artists

Rangel Orsatto Spagnol –  Xanxerê. Member of the independent writers’ collective Impresso Marginal and of Coletivo ABarca. He sees in art a power of sensitization, transformation and also of resistance. He believes in the artistic potential of every human being and works actively to build networks of artists, collectives and cultural spaces. The zine project of Impresso Marginal starts from the recognition of the creative potential of writers from western Santa Catarina, a region that, culturally speaking, is Marginal to the cultural hubs. Marginality is present in the writing and in the notion that the notes written in the margins of a book have the same power as its content. The “new writers” Zine comes from an effort to independently publish and promote new writers, or so that “drawer writers” publish their writings;

Liliam Cardoso – Her art always carries a bit of herself; she paints the traces of childhood, of free cats on the roof, of street games, of grandma’s house with the smell of potatoes on the stove. Of longing, of colorful sweets, of loves on postcards from trips she never took when she was still a girl; she colors the hair, hands and hearts of the children to whom she dedicates her art. Her main focus is digital art, and in the course she learned much more from the group sharing their ideas and experiences with photography, video and canvas painting.
