Pupilo takes part in the 3rd cohort of Faciap Inovalab
Faciap InovaLab is a pre-accelerator that selects early-stage business ideas and, through a mentoring program, helps develop startups. And it was in the 3rd pre-acceleration cohort of the FACIAP Inovalab program, managed by 9weeklabs, that Pupilo was launched into the world.
It was three intense months of content, mentoring and practical activities in which Barbara Rouze, Melito and Rudolfo Auffinger met daily at Faciap to carry out the pre-acceleration tasks. In this period of 2019, Pupilo got its name and a website created together with Igor Nazario, one of Pupilo’s partners, who also designed the service’s MVP.
Likewise, in strategic planning the trio mapped out the necessary departments through a mind map, in addition to defining objectives and, based on them, creating the necessary tasks. For example, a visit to Colégio Marista in Curitiba and the launch of a survey on audiovisual in schools.
Using the space and the mission of Faciap InovaLab to accelerate ideas and connect people, we managed to advance the initial steps in developing the tool, as did other startups that took part in the program. Class Quest is one of them: a game that engages and motivates students in the learning process through the gamification of pedagogical activities, created by Matheus, founder/CEO, and Amanda, co-founder.

FACIAP Inovalab aims to foster innovation within the FACIAP system (Federation of Commercial and Business Associations of Paraná). The focus is on technological innovation companies that create solutions in the areas of education, human development, mobility and transport, health, social entrepreneurship, financial technology, renewable energy and smart cities.
After going through a nine-week pre-acceleration process, the selected startups present their businesses, products and services through pitches of their entrepreneurial ideas to demonstrate their ability to deliver good solutions to the market. The event (Demoday) currently takes place online and features a specialized panel of investors, business owners and business leaders.
“At this point, the startups present what they learned with 9weeklabs within Faciap Inovalab and will have to prove they are ready to enter the market,” says program coordinator Tulio Severo Jr., highlighting that the level of the startups keeps improving at each stage.
