Cineclube Pupilo brings to Carnaval Marginal – on February 11 at 8 pm – the Regional Film Showcase, with three short films, with the proposal of screening films about western Santa Catarina or by regional filmmakers. Check out the films!

Synopsis:
Shoeshine boys, porters and other children aged 7 to 15 mingled with travelers at the Herval d’Oeste railway station in the 1950s. To survive, buy comic books and go to the movies, dodging inspectors, police officers and even their own parents, they invented a language of their own. Today, decades later, Larfiagem appears as the memory of its last speakers, now adults, who still know, teach and decipher the secrets of its nouns and pronouns.

Olha A Bruxaria

Synopsis:
With a free script inspired by the tale “Balanço Bruxólico”, collected by Franklin Cascaes, the film brings a traditional witchcraft story told by Quinzinho, a fisherman puppet. The music composed especially for the short is what ties the whole plot together, and it was from this composition that the entire script was written. The aim is to preserve and spread folk tales, as well as to nourish the collection of songs and works aimed at children. This bewitched storytelling is the result of artistic experimentation carried out through the Aldir Blanc call of Santa Catarina, a production by André Luiz Nunes da Silva.

Nero Artista

Synopsis:
The short tells the story of Nero, a small-town man, a barber, who at the end of his life decides to dive into the world of painting, of the visual arts. Discovered by researchers Sérgio Beck and Sandra Beck, Nero Artista (as he liked to be called) shocked the small town of Água Doce by turning his own house into a work of art. Nero Artista, the film, retraces the researchers’ journey and features testimonies from the artist’s widow and friends, photos and images of Nero’s works.
