CineClube Pupilo premieres with a special session on World Environment Day
This Saturday (June 5), World Environment Day, CineClube Pupilo premieres with a special session for this very important day. On the other Saturdays in June, always at 2 pm, the program will continue with films on the same theme. Each month, around 15 films will be screened across four sessions dedicated to educators interested in using films during remote and/or in-person classes.
The films screened are curated by groups of teachers who each month select Brazilian films on different themes. Right after each session, these curators and other guests lead a debate with open interaction through the chat of our YouTube channel, addressing the pedagogical perspective of the films.

Looking at the devastating effects of these changes, they wonder what the future of their grandchildren will be like.

Learn a little more about Pupilo
It is a startup incubated at Incubadora Joaçaba, located at Centro Inovale in Joaçaba, created from the perception of the importance of using audiovisual content in the teaching and learning process of children and teenagers. The project’s CEO, Rudolfo Auffinger, says that since school libraries threw away their DVDs and VHS tapes, the responsibility of finding audiovisual material and organizing screenings during classes has fallen exclusively on the teacher. Pupilo’s proposal is to bring this responsibility back to the school institution and, above all, to practice the education of the gaze on a weekly basis, since cinema promotes empathy, stimulates non-verbal communication and encourages reflection and debate on topics that are often difficult to bring up in class.
