Cinema na Vila: Culture and community gathered

The event takes place on March 16 with the participation of the whole Vila Cachoeirinha community

On March 16, 2025, from 3 pm, the Vila Cachoeirinha football pitch, in Joaçaba (SC), will be the stage for the Cinema na Vila (Cinema in the Vila) event. The program features a stilt-walking intervention, a capoeira circle, a street dance class, short film screenings, graffiti and a big music show. The event is free and offers popcorn and soda to the audience.

Program

Welcome with Victor Falk. Holder of a degree in Physical Education from PUCPR, teacher of culture and movement in socially vulnerable territories, teacher of body practices in high school. Since 2018 he has worked with circus, developing collective acrobatics, aerial acrobatics, stilt walking, dance and theater, living characters, among others.

Capoeira Circle with Professor Negaça. The traditional capoeira circle will be led by professor Adriano de Mattos, known as Negaça, from Grupo Capoeira Brasil (GCB). Adriano works as a capoeira teacher, having begun his journey in 1994. During the 2000s, he began developing activities in neighborhoods and community centers for children and teenagers, where he shared the teachings of this art. He works with children, teenagers, young offenders, the elderly and people with physical disabilities. The activity is part of the Deixe o Menino Jogar Sociocultural Program and aims to value Afro-Brazilian culture, providing an interactive experience for the audience.

Dance Class with Professor Igor da Cruz. With more than 20 years of experience, teacher, choreographer and dancer Igor da Cruz will lead a big dance class for all ages. Igor is currently also a teacher at Creche Irmã Sheila, where he teaches dance to the children of the institution’s after-school project, promoting body expression and social inclusion.

Neighborhood Talents. A special moment for the residents of Vila Cachoeirinha to show their talents in cultural performances. The initiative seeks to value the community’s local artists.

Live Graffiti with Risco. Luiz Ricardo, aka Risco, has been dedicated to urban art for five years, a passion that emerged in childhood. He identifies especially with street art for its accessibility, being present in many public places without the need for galleries. Risco has already painted on several streets, walls and spaces in Joaçaba, neighboring towns and on the coast, in addition to taking part in social projects in schools and institutions. For him, urban art keeps its essence in the streets and in places neglected by public authorities, where it can positively impact the lives of children and young people, offering them new perspectives through art. It is in these places that he seeks to work, believing in the transforming power of art.

Show with Sincronia Surreal. Straight from Joaçaba, from the Midwest to the world, Sincronia Surreal is one more group representing Brazilian Rap. With releases in 2024 and their latest work in 2025, “Deus é bom e nós é do bem”, they keep shaking up the local scene with lots of art. Formed by Gré and Fontoura Mc, they promise a performance packed with culture, a quality repertoire and an enriching exchange of ideas about Rap, one of the pillars of Hip Hop, to involve everyone in this artistic expression. With a relaxed and engaging atmosphere, the proposal is a comfortable and cozy environment, full of good vibes. And with surprise guests, the afternoon promises to be memorable. Music whenever possible, Hip Hop until late!
