Pupilo selected for the Joaçaba Technological Incubator at Polo Inovale

Aware of the importance of incubators for exchanging experiences with other entrepreneurs and for the expansion and development of a company, Pupilo applied and was approved in the selection process for innovative ventures in the Resident Incubated category at the Joaçaba Technological Incubator.

The Joaçaba Technological Incubator is part of the Vale do Rio do Peixe Innovation Center – Inovale, inaugurated in the municipality on December 8, 2020, and is an extension and technological development body linked to the City of Joaçaba.

The goal of the Joaçaba Technological Incubator is to support the formation and consolidation of technology-based companies characterized by their innovative content and contribution to regional economic growth, supporting entrepreneurs and providing them with an environment and appropriate conditions for the operation of their companies (specialized services, guidance, physical space and technical, administrative and operational infrastructure).

According to the Incubator’s Manager, Charles Edson Savaris, the Joaçaba Technological Incubator promotes the development of innovative businesses through support and guidance:

“Innovative people often hold the technical knowledge of something specific or have an idea, but need guidance for management and support for the feasibility of turning the idea into a business, and that is where the role of an Incubator comes in, helping them develop their businesses through support and guidance on topics such as financial management, strategic planning, production, marketing, sales and people management, as well as bringing them closer to potential customers and investors. We currently have 19 businesses incubated, with the challenge of innovation in areas such as sanitation, commerce, tourism, education, textiles, artificial intelligence, health, logistics, packaging, power generation and web streaming.“

About the Vale do Rio do Peixe Innovation Hub – Inovale

It is an innovation ecosystem covering 18 municipalities, mostly within the Joaçaba Regional Development Agency (ADR) and the Association of Municipalities of Santa Catarina’s Midwest (AMMOC). 

The hub aims to spread the culture of entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation among people and organizations; contribute to the development of innovative ventures; encourage and guide the implementation of innovation in established companies; provide a favorable environment for attracting and retaining companies in the region; and promote coordination among actors, partners and organizations to integrate the Hub’s development actions.

How to join the Joaçaba Technological Incubator

To be admitted as incubated, companies are chosen through an Open Call selection process published on the website http://www.poloinovale.com.br, after which the board deliberates on the proposal to be accepted as incubated.
