A holiday workshop on optical toys and the origins of cinema: with thaumatropes, flip-books, magic lanterns and a large zoetrope, children discover hands-on how the illusion of movement is born and create their own animations. Led by Gabi Bresola at Sesc Joaçaba.

Held at Sesc Joaçaba in July 2026, led by the artist Gabi Bresola.
Gabi Bresola (Joaçaba, 1992) holds a master’s and a bachelor’s in Visual Arts from UDESC, and is an artist and producer at Ombu Produção. She directed the short Larfiagem (awarded at FAM 2017), served as director of the Santa Catarina Cinematheque and won the AF Contemporary Art Prize 2021.
