Terror at the Daycare
At the Irmã Sheila daycare, in Joaçaba (SC), Pupilo turned fear into creation: in a film workshop, the children went through every stage of filmmaking and made seven horror shorts entirely by themselves. It was a social counterpart to the short Render Unto Caesar.

About the project
At the Irmã Sheila daycare, in Joaçaba (SC), Pupilo turned fear into creation. In a 6-class-hour film workshop, children went through every stage of filmmaking — from screenplay to shooting — and made seven horror shorts entirely by themselves: O Casamento Amaldiçoado, A Mão Assassina, A Cota, A Cota 2: A Possessão, A Creche Assombrada, A Boneca Amaldiçoada and A Mão Pesada.
The premiere took place on 4 May 2024, at the Rogério Sganzerla House of Culture, during the Sarau Filhos de Rita — a session that celebrated the children’s imagination and affirmed cinema as a tool for expression, authorship and learning from childhood. The project was a social counterpart to the short Render Unto Caesar.
